My favorite thing about being a woman over 40 is that there is no more pretending or trying to be somebody else or look like somebody else. I say things as I feel and don’t worry if somebody won’t like me for telling the truth. I am fee in my thoughts, actions, moves – my life!
I am living my most extraordinary life right now by being retired and fully enjoying my free time. I travel as much as my budget permits. I spend time with friends and family, I read, watch movies, walk my dog – all on my own time and schedule! I love it!
In the next decade, I aspire to see my children and grandchildren grow, be happy, and be successful in whatever they want to do, and to enjoy seeing the world. There are so many places I want to visit, so many different things and people I want to see. I want to continue to learn more, and to pass whatever knowledge and experience I have to my children and grandchildren.
When I saw my portraits for the first time, I felt great. It’s not about looking 20 years younger than you are, but staying healthy and active and fully embracing and enjoying yourself. I felt proud to give my portraits to my daughters so they could also be proud of mom.
