My favorite thing about being a woman over 40 is that it has taken me to a place where I am comfortable and confident not only with who I am, but also with my thoughts and opinions, and where I want to focus my time and energy. It’s very liberating! I’m accountable to the people and projects that are important to me, not those determined by someone else. My husband and I have more time for each other…and, it’s pretty cool to enjoy hanging out with my adult kids!
I am living my most extraordinary life right now by allowing my experiences and dreams from yesterday guide my today, and striving to be the best wife, friend, Mom, and Grammie to those I love. I recently downsized my career to focus on relationships and lifestyle, which has given me more quality time with family and friends and the flexibility to travel more. I can take better care of fewer clients to help them achieve their hopes and dreams! I try to learn something new each and every day, and never forget to be both grateful and thankful of my blessings.
In the next decade, I aspire to continue the path I’m on! I love time with my hubby and our amazing kids and young grandkids, and although they’re out of state, we visit regularly. We’d like to take more family vacations together. I’ll also continue my quest of visiting new beach towns each year, in addition to spending more time at our own beach home in Mexico where we enjoy fishing, ATVing, exploring, and staying active with our friends there. It’s important to stay healthy to enjoy all of these things…and never forget, you’re only as old as you act!
When I saw my portraits for the first time, I…was so nervous to look at them, I am usually my own worst critic. But Karianne kept her promise that even if it felt awkward the photo would look great, and I loved all of them! That day was such a blast, my face hurt from laughing, and having her and Whitney take care of everything really made the difference in how the shoot turned out. She brought out the me that my friends and family see every day, and that makes me smile! Thank you!
