My favorite thing about being over 40 is that I feel comfortable in my skin. I no longer feel the need to acquiesce to others’ opinions of me. I am living my most fabulous life and setting an example for my children that you really can achieve ANYTHING you set your mind to at any age. I say YES to things more readily than I ever have vs. living in fear. I have the ability to give myself grace and no longer beat myself up for any reason.
I am living my most extraordinary life by facing my fears and pursuing my dreams of actively writing and recording music for the first time in my life. I am embracing the complete vulnerability it takes to put myself and my innermost thoughts and feelings to music. It’s one thing to get on stage in front of thousands of people and sing someone else’s words. Singing my own feels like I am opening my heart wide open. I have also learned that it only takes one other person to say I relate to what I’ve written to feel seen and heard. I am so proud of myself!
Over the next decade, I will continue stretching myself musically. I would love to do music full time! I also look forward to being in the best physical shape of my life through self-love, nutrition, exercise and balance.
When I first saw my photos, I felt amazing! I love how the photos turned out and I am proud of the work I have put in to get to this place in my life. I have gone through many physical transformations over the years. I can say without reservation that I am so proud of the clarity I have in my eyes from living a sober lifestyle and getting regular exercise, sleep and most of all LOTS of laughter!
